Wig

At Pine and Spruce streets, a cab tore through the stop sign, hitting an old Buick broadside and spinning it into a lamppost. When it hit the post, the rear door burst open, a woman flying onto the street. Everything was dead quiet for a count of five and then the woman slapped at her face, brushing away the broken glass. With groggy eyes and a bloodied face, she inched her way to a curly brown wig near the curb and slipped it onto her bald head.

Shoes

A brutal day of inventory had big Tony on his feet for ten hours, all of it made worse by uncomfortable shoes. His feet were killing him. Going home, he crumpled into a seat on the southbound IRT, slipping his shoes off and in no time, falling asleep. A drunk across from Tony stared at the shoes as the train rumbled toward 14th Street. When the doors opened he casually picked up the shoes and got off while Tony slept on, dreaming of clothes pins.

Hog

Hog hunting, Bubba and Edna were crouched in a blind when Edna said, I gotta pee-pee,” and went off into the trees. Bubba heard bushes behind the blind rustling and grabbed up his gun. It sounded like a big pig. Aiming at the bushes that hid the pig, he blasted away. Poking around the brush looking for a dead pig, he saw Edna standing behind a tree, panties around her ankles. “Now ain’t that just like you, Bubba. Shoot me dead while I’m peeing.”
