On the southbound train, a tired grandmother had her
hands full with three rambunctious grandchildren between the ages of five and
eight. Anything but quiet, the three jumped about, wrestled and screamed,
grandmother all but invisible. The youngest boy spat a large wad of bubble gum onto
the floor of the train. Grandmother gasped, scolded the boy, then bent and
picked up the shiny lump, wrapping it in a tissue before tossing it back on the
floor.
